The CriticalMed Plan provides a predetermined, set-limit of fixed indemnity payments for catastrophic coverage. The plan can be offered as a core benefit option for uninsured employees or as a supplemental buy-up option for underinsured employees who are enrolled in a limited-benefit medical plan. It is not intended to replace major-medical coverage.

CriticalMed offers an option for individuals who are concerned about insurance coverage for major events. The simple and affordably priced plan is designed for individuals who are willing to self-pay their day-to-day medical expenses and forego first-dollar insurance coverage. A set-limit of catastrophic coverage with fixed indemnity payments can be selected to best meet a person’s needs. Plan options available are the $15,000, $25,000 and $50,000 plans.
