In our early stages of formation, Ternian conducted market-based research to assess the needs of uninsured and underinsured individuals. We set out to determine potential coverage gaps in the voluntary marketplace across the spectrum of existing products and services.
The development of our value-driven, Direct Voluntary Benefits is a direct result of our research efforts. We offer innovative solutions for the very different needs of very different employee lifestyles. The plans expand on the health care consumerism movement and give employees choice, information, and a broader range of quality, affordable options.
Our plans look to complement existing employee benefit plans in the marketplace today. They are not intended to replace or compete with mini-med or major-med plans. We offer alternative solutions to fill gaps in coverage through our voluntary plans that provide basic, catastrophic and comprehensive health care.
